Teacher Awards

National Science Teachers Association Awards - A collection of teacher awards from NSTA and other organizations.

Marcus Foster Distinguished Educator Award - Recognizes leaders in the Oakland public schools who are role models for today's students and educators. These awards encourage excellence and innovation as well as focus the community's attention on Oakland Public School champions.

Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching -
The nation's highest honor for teachers of mathematics and science. The award recognize highly qualified K-12 teachers for their contributions in the classroom and to their profession. Applicants first compete at the state level, and then move on to a national competition. To qualify for this award, you must have at least five years of teaching experience. The award alternates between elementary (K-6) and secondary (7-12) teachers annually.

Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program - Offers current elementary and secondary mathematics, technology, and science classroom teachers with demonstrated excellence in teaching an opportunity to serve in the national public policy arena in Washington DC for a year.
